Four-Year Curriculum

We introduce Four-Year curriculum of The Department of Applied Physics and Chemical Engineering.

Curriculum Policy

In the Department of Applied Physics and Chemical Engineering, in the first year of the undergraduate course, students will practice project exercises while learning mainly on common fundamental subjects related to chemistry, physics, and mathematics. In the second year, as a specialized basic subject, students will study subjects related to chemical engineering, physical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and mechanical engineering. From the second half of the second year, the course will be divided into two courses, the "Chemical Engineering Course" and the "Physical Engineering Course" (the courses will be guidelines for the subjects to be studied, and the number of students will not be fixed). Specialized subjects consist of three subject packages: "energy subject package", "new material subject package", and "environment subject package".

The “Energy Course Package” is a course related to solution of energy problem and energy conversion technology, and the “New Material Course Package” is a course related to measurement and control technology and the development of new materials that are energy and environmentally conscious. Learn subjects related to the construction of new biosystems and solving environmental problems. Common subjects are also set for specialized subjects to develop mathematically problem-solving abilities.

Four-Year Curriculum

This is a curriculum that takes fundamental subjects such as mathematics, chemistry, and physics as well as a good balance between chemical engineering and physical engineering. Specialized courses focus on the three keywords of “energy”, “new materials”, and “environment”. You will be able to acquire practical problem-solving skills by being assigned to laboratories.

Dipuroma Policy

A. Acquisition of fundamental academic skills in natural sciences, centered on comprehensive academic skills in chemistry and physics.

B. In order to solve global issues such as energy and the environment, and issues such as the creation of new industries, through a comprehensive understanding of chemistry and physics, we will conduct a bird's-eye view, refinement and optimization of issues, In addition, students must have the knowledge of a research area that can realize the proposal and development of elemental technologies based on basic principles as a system, and have the ability to make logical thinking and insights based on principles and principles.

C. From a mission-oriented standpoint, as an engineers, we are aware of our responsibilities to society. Being aware of it and acquiring the ability to solve it creatively.

D. Acquisition of communication skills and culture required in Japan and overseas so that they can actively participate as advanced global engineers.
