"Meeting to Find Collaborative Research Opportunities" held

On Thursday, December 18, 2025, we held a "Meeting to Find Collaborative Research Opportunities" at the West Tokyo Global Innovation Co-Creation Hub(Kaikoukan). This event was organized by Women's Future Development Organization as part of MEXT’s Initiative for the Implementation of the Diversity Research Environment "Category: Women's Leadership Development" with the aim of exchanging female researchers at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, The University of Electro-Communications, and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.
A total of 25 female researchers from the three universities participated in the event. In the lectures on the themes of "Introduction to the Research of Young Female Researchers" and "Know-how of Laboratory Management to Support Education and Research", six researchers from each university took the stage, and a poster session that also served as a coffee break. The students were exposed to the unique research and research environment of each university, and lively Q&A sessions were held, making it a good opportunity for cross-disciplinary exchange.
At the information exchange meeting that followed, there was no end to the topic, such as sharing individual concerns and experiences such as career paths and work-life balance, and it became a place for even more intimate exchanges.
Participants also commented, "I was inspired by the wide range of research," and "It was very meaningful to share the challenges and experiences unique to female researchers." We received various impressions.
